Search Engine Optimisation-Web SEO

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process getting your website ready to be found in organic web searches,i.e searches that appear naturally as the result of a search for a particular keyword or phrase, rather than appearing in the sponsored links (pay-per-click advertising) section of a search page.

SEO is no rocket science you can optimise your own webpages by just spending some time daily. Here I furnish you with basic SEO strategies that will definitely shoot your search engine rankings and your earnings.

1. Page title tags: This is the page information that you see in the blue bar of your browser in the upper left-hand corner when you visit a website. For best SEO, use your top 2 keywords in your title tag. The best way to do that is separated with a bar, as illustrated in this example: Internet Marketing | Web Marketing.

2. Domain name: If at all possible, use one primary keyword in your domain name. You will have a slight edge over your competition by doing so. If you already have a domain that you have used for some time, include a keyword in the name of files for your website pages. Example: http://www.yoursite.com/internet-marketing.htm if your keyword is Internet marketing.

3. Meta tags: These are descriptions on a web page that are not seen by most visitors except when looking at the page source code in their browser. While the keyword and description metatags used to be the primary way that search engines indexed sites, that is no longer the case. However, you shouldn’t ignore them entirely, as it is still worthwhile to include them as a part of your page description. For optimal SEO, your meta description and keyword tags should be no more than 150 characters each.

4. Header tags: Header tags are the HTML code that indicate a headline, like H1, H2 and H3 and show up as bolded headlines in your page content. The first 3 header tags are the only ones you need to be concerned about, and the primary header tag, H1, is the most important. Use your primary keyword once in the H1 tag, 2-3 times in your H2 tags, and multiple times in your H3 tags

5. Alt image tag: The alt tag typically describes an image in a floating text window when you put your mouse over the image if the image isn’t able to be displayed. The best use of any tag is to use your keywords in your image descriptions.

6. Content formatting: Search engines pay attention to formatted content, as in when text is bolded, italicized, and underlined. Make sure that you are bolding your keywords in the content of your website.

Google Adsense- Secret Revealed

The Basic AdSense formula that you need to know is

Earnings = NOC * APPC

NOC stand for Number of Clicks
APPC stand for Average Price Per Click

This is what the Fundamental AdSense Formula and you can derive almost every adSense "secret" directly or indirectly from this formula. There are 2 ways to increase your earnings...

1. Increase the number of clicks, and/or

2. Increase the average price per click

Your earnings will only go up if you do one or the other, and ideally both. It's an obvious formula, yes, but it's amazing how many people lose sight of it in their quest for increased AdSense earnings.

1. Increasing the Number of AdSense Clicks

Increasing the number of times the ads on your site or blog are clicked is the most obvious strategy. There are two general strategies you can follow:

--- Increase the traffic to the site, and/or

---Adjust the ads to make them more "clickable"

Getting traffic is hard and takes time, so don't look at it as a quick fix. The best way to get traffic is to provide useful, unique content and to rank highly in search engine rankings for keywords related to that content. In other words, use standard Search Engine Optimization techniques.

Adjusting the ads is something you can do almost immediately:
Position the ads on the page in order to make them more noticeable. Google even publishes a helpful heat map for AdSense publishers.Choose the best AdSense ad format that works for your site.Change the ad colors either to make the ads blend in with your site or to make them stand out. Again, it varies depending on the site.

Whatever you do, DO NOT ENTICE VISITORS TO CLICK THE ADS.
Google is very strict about this, see the AdSense program policies for the details.

2. Increasing the Average AdSense Price Per Click

Increasing the average price per click you receive from AdSense is the other strategy for increasing your overall AdSense earnings. You can do this by:

---Carefully targeting your content, and/or

---Filtering out and avoiding low-paying ads

Content targeting isn't just about creating relevant, unique content. It's also making sure that that content is written to target the higher-paying keywords associated with a given topic. This means: Figuring out which keyword variations for that topic pay more. Often the more specialized variations and phrases pay more than the "generic" terms.Ensuring that the keyword density of the content favors the higher-paying keyword variations.

And to reduce the occurrence of lower-paying ads, consider these two strategies:
Use AdSense's competitive filter mechanism to screen out the ads that you don't want.
Show fewer ads on a page. The fewer ads you show, the more the higher-paying ads get displayed and clicked.

Many publishers also report that their earnings increase if they remove ads completely from pages with few or no clicks. Again, the "less is more" strategy favors the higher-paying ads.
